Tis the Season

Pumpkins and harvest may be the theme of October, but at Close to My Heart we’re all about making Christmas cards. Why? Because we know that handmade, heartfelt Christmas cards take time to make. By the time December rolls around, most of us are so busy with baking, shopping, decorating, and parties that making Christmas cards get pushed to the back burner. Bottom line, if you want to make your own Christmas cards, you’ve got to get an early start. October is the perfect time!

Set Details

Yuletide Joy is a clear acrylic stamp set. It features four iconic Christmas images filled with gorgeous scrollwork, as well as three cheery, coordinating sentiments. Each image measures between two and three inches in height and width.

TIP: I recommend using our 1-x-3-1/2-inch acrylic block with the sentiments, and our 3-x-3-inch acrylic block with the images.

This Close to My Heart stamp set comes conveniently packaged in a durable, protective 6-x-6-inch snap-closure envelope. The stamps are nestled against a square of foam that both protects them and doubles as a mat that you can put under your paper when stamping to get the crispest, clearest images.

I love how versatile this set is! The detailed line work of this set makes it perfect to make your own Christmas cards with both heat embossing and hand coloring techniques. You can also stamp the images onto patterned paper to save yourself some time. How fun!

By the way, if you purchased the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge before it retired, you can cut out the star and stocking images out with your Cricut machine. Pretty cool, huh?

The stunning imagery of the “Yuletide Joy” stamp set can be used for far more than to make your own Christmas cards! Each image measures about 2 to 2.5 inches tall, so these stamps are perfect for many other Christmas crafts:

  • Stamp them on cardstock and then cut them out to use as gift tags
  • Attach a stamped image to a pick for decorating Christmas cupcakes
  • Stamp them into sugar cookie dough rounds before baking to make your cookies more festive
  • String up several stamped images to make a gorgeous garland for your mantel
